Tastes, You Know, Alpaca-y
-
A couple in Wellfleet, Massachusetts says that well water on their property has heightened nitrate levels, which isn't good. And the source of the nitrates, they contend, is alpaca pee. Yes, the neighboring farm has 57 alpacas, and the couple thinks that their pee is getting into the ground water. The farmer says that's not the case and it might be coming from the septic system of nearby apartments. Either way, you wouldn't want to drink the water. But especially if you're downing a big refreshing glass of alpaca urine. (Wicked Local/Truro, MA)
