I didn't think you'd need a study to show you that being near a body of water makes people calmer and healthier, but that's what a new study shows, that your heart rate and blood pressure go down and stress hormones also get reduced when you're by a lake or ocean. No, being next to a glass of water is not going to help much. And I don't think they tested whether it has the same effect if you're ALWAYS near the ocean. Asking for a friend. (Me.
