Okay, So Should We Look For 'Organic' Instead?
-
A University of Calgary researcher wants you parents to know that just because a food aimed at kids is marketed as "gluten free" doesn't mean it's healthier. It probably isn't. And if your kids don't have celiac disease, what's the point? "Gluten-free" isn't critical if you're not sensitive to gluten. And she found that 88% of the "gluten-free" foods were full of sugar. So you can safely ignore the hype unless your kids, or you, are truly sensitive to gluten. (CBC)
