Give The Pooch Some Timbits
-
Canada's service dog law is the same as in the U.S. -- if someone has a service dog, retailers and restaurants and every other place of public accommodation has to let the dog in. And when someone doesn't follow the law, it's always interesting to wonder how someone didn't get the memo. So here we go again, at a Montreal Tim Hortons, where an employee threw out a man with a service dog despite being informed that it was, indeed, a service dog. By the time the cops showed up and confirmed again that it was, indeed, a service dog, it was too late. The manager tried to mollify the man with a gift card, but I wouldn't have taken that, either. Anyway, it's hard to believe that anyone is left who doesn't know the rules on service dogs, but, apparently, some people still don't know. (CTV News)
