Not Ready To Be A Victim
-
I don't often do stories about radio stations here, nor do I advise doing gun stories (for the usual reasons radio people who take phone calls on the air know all too well), but this one's also about policing and what you do when the police aren't, in your estimation, doing their jobs: A radio station in Swan River, Manitoba (CJSB, CJ-104) is arming its employees because, they say, the police have not been around patrolling the area despite attempted break-ins and threats to burn the station down. When is it time to take matters into your own hands? Because the RCMP is not happy and is telling the station that "armed vigilante activity" is not acceptable, yet if the station people are correct, what are they SUPPOSED to do? (CBC)
