Suddenly, The Cameron Crazies And The Raiders' Black Hole Don't Seem So Bad
-
It's 2018, and because we've entered the Deeply Stupid Era, idiots at an Orange County high school thought it would be acceptable to post pro-Trump, "Build the Wall," and "USA USA USA" signs at a football game in which their side was facing a team from Santa Ana, which, if you're unaware, has a large population from Mexico and Latin America. The clear implication was that Santa Ana isn't America and their (majority white) suburban school is. Naturally, some of the parents and fans from the home side insist that none of it was intended as racist and that Santa Ana is being too sensitive, but that's what people say when they're caught being, you know, racist. And their own team itself is more diverse than your average suburban school, so maybe they should consider that. Or maybe they're scared of that, too. (Los Angeles Times)
