All right, let's tackle the briefly hot topic of Cynthia Nixon's bagel order, cinnamon raisin with lox and cream cheese with capers, which appalled New Yorkers. And a week earlier, there was the woman who dunked chicken tenders in soda at the U.S. Open. Here's the thing: Why do we care what others eat? If you like a combination, who's to say you're wrong? If people in Chicago want to kill you for putting ketchup on a hot dog, why do they think they're right and you wrong? If you want to put whipped cream on your hamburger or M&Ms on chopped liver AND YOU LIKE IT, why should you be shamed for it? Not that any of that would be normal, but if it's something that tastes good to you, why do we need to shame you for it? (New York Post)
