Sometimes 'Don't You Know Who I Am?' Works, Sort Of

Yes, the powerful are treated differently from the rest of us, and so an Arizona state legislator who bragged about driving 120 mph at a traffic stop, caught on the cop's body cam, has a warrant out for his arrest but hasn't been arrested and is unlikely to be taken in. This is a guy who claimed legislative immunity for speeding 97 in a 55 zone. He didn't show up for a hearing. It doesn't matter; he thinks he's above the law and those responsible for doing something about it are treating him as if he really IS above the law. He lost his primary, and he now says it's fine because now he can move away, which tells you how much serving his community meant to him. (Arizona Republic)
