Even Goode Himself Probably Wishes This Would Go Away

He was the Mayor in charge when the police dropped a bomb on a house and thus killed 11 people and burned down dozens of homes. So why does the Philadelphia City Council think it's a good idea to name a street after Wilson Goode? Yes, we're still talking about the MOVE cult and the disastrous 1985 police action, and it reminds us that naming anything after anybody is a dicey thing. But sometimes the reasons not to do so are pretty obvious, and this is one of those times. (KYW-TV/Philadelphia)
