It's Quiet Around There. A Little Too Quiet
-
One house in Mexico Beach -- called "The Sand Palace" -- was built to withstand a major storm. It largely survived Hurricane Michael. Nothing else near it did. So you have a house that did lose the ground floor, windows, and utilities, but it's far, far better off than the neighborhood. Yet, what does that mean when the neighbors are all gone? Is it a good thing to have a house that needs relatively few repairs when it's all alone and the rest of the city's gone? (WPTV/West Palm Beach)
