They're Gonna Need A Bigger Fence
-
We get these stories once in a while, and here we go again, with one dog owner ordered by a small claims court to pay another dog owner over $800 because the first owner's dog, a husky, jumped into the second owner's yard and got a chow chow pregnant. The money was for a dog abortion. The husky owner didn't appear in court, so this was basically a default judgment, but they did go through with testimony. It may seem funny to you, animals being animals and all that, but if that chow chow was your dog, you'd have been upset, too. Maybe not to the extent of having the pregnancy terminated, but you'd not have been happy. (Montreal Gazette)
