Oh, no no no no no. A woman came back from her honeymoon in Belize with what she thought was a pimple in her groin. It started to itch. Then it hurt. She thought that maybe it was a spider bite. Nope. It was a maggot deeply embedded in her most intimate of areas. Turns out there's such a thing as a "human botfly," which lays its eggs in human skin; the locals in places where they're common usually just put petroleum jelly on the bump to suffocate the larva, but otherwise it eventually drops off.
