One of the writers nominated for this year's Pushcart Prize, a prestigious award for up-and-coming writers, is being accused of plagiarism by several other poets. I've been plagiarized. As an editor at another site, I caught another writer blatantly plagiarizing, and the company rewarded him by not only not firing him but increasing his profile at the site (he's still there, I'm long gone). The question is whether we've gotten to the point where ripping off others' work and claiming it as your own is... acceptable. Have we no ethics anymore? (Jezebel)
