This article points out the privacy and Big Brother-ish implications of video doorbells, namely that some cities are enlisting homeowners in networks of cameras that are really surveillance webs, some companies are planning to use facial recognition software with the cameras, and there are serious issues with the idea that the video you capture may be used to spy on people, or match against an ICE database, or any number of other potential privacy violations.
