The No-Fun State
-
Say, Hawaii is on a roll with proposed laws, aren't they? No sooner did they propose raising the minimum age to buy cigarettes to 100 years old than they proposed charging adults a one-time $20 fee to use porn sites. They'd block all the sites and charge a fee to let you see them. First, who's defining porn here? Second, do you want to do this when it's a tiny step towards deciding that other forms of free expression should be blocked and a fee charged? And how is this constitutional? Do they know it's unlikely to survive in court and figure it's just good politics to pander to the prudes? (KITV/Honolulu)
