A high school assistant principal and wrestling coach in Minnesota allegedly took $14,000 from the wrestling team budget and used it to go on out-of-state trips to college football games. This went on for about seven years, and nobody noticed. He'd hit the road to go to games, including at least one in Florida, and took reimbursement for his hotel, food, gas, and van and RV rentals, putting the trips down as "coaching clinics." He got caught when he tried to expense 10 tickets to a Notre Dame game. But he's still employed, under a deal he made with the school board in November that let him step down from his jobs but continue to work as a teacher. He's facing felony charges, though, so at least there's some chance he'll really pay. And it's still interesting to watch people try to get away with stuff like this, like nobody was going to figure it out. (Minneapolis Star Tribune)
