Will Mike Trout Still Be Around For It, Though?

The story making the rounds about the Los Angeles Angels considering a move to Long Beach is interesting in that the only thing that's on the table right now is a large empty parking lot down by the waterfront. There's not a word about who will pay for the new park, but here we are. There's nothing hugely wrong with the Angels' present stadium other than that it's old, and being in Anaheim puts them in the center of a large population that's arguably more into the region's afterthought team than the L.A. County crowd (Dodgers, period), but it wouldn't be that far of a move -- Long Beach is not that far from Anaheim and actually borders on Orange County. All I care about is a) they'd better not be spending any L.A. County tax money on this, because that's money out of MY pocket, and b) the new park is a lot closer to my home, not that I'd go to THAT many games either way.... (Long Beach Press-Telegram)
