This Calls For A Toast, Isaac
-
Jeraldine Saunders passed away at 96. Who? Why, only the woman who wrote the book that led to the TV series "The Love Boat." She was the first female cruise director for a major cruise line, wrote a book about it ("The Love Boats," plural), and if that was all there was, she'd have accomplished a lot. But she wrote a bestseller about treating the hypoglycemia that killed her daughter, was writing a sequel to "The Love Boats" at the time of her passing, and was still the daily writer of the Sydney Omarr astrology column syndicated to newspapers everywhere. So the real "Julie, Your Cruise Director" did plenty okay in real life. (Variety)
