Brown-Bag It And You Won't Even Notice The Change
-
Atlanta's Mercedes-Benz Stadium, home of the Falcons and Atlanta United, is known for its relatively low concession prices, but now you won't be able to pay cash for your cheap(er) hot dog and beer: The stadium is the second (the Trop in St. Pete was the first) to go cashless. This comes at the same time as Philadelphia has banned cashless stores because poorer people may not have plastic, or bank accounts. The stadium is making one, er, concession: You can go to a machine and buy a prepaid Visa card and load it up with your cash, and then use the card in the stadium and elsewhere. (They'd better not charge a fee for that.) Are you OK with going cashless, or would you rather carry a $20 for your snacks? (Atlanta Journal-Constitution)
