Any Excuse To Eat A Donut
-
In places with big Polish populations -- Chicago and Detroit, really -- Tuesday is Paczki Day, and by now you're likely at least familiar with what that is: the tradition for the day before Ash Wednesday, in which Polish people and those who just love puffy fried donuts overfilled with jelly indulge before Lent. If you don't live in Chicago or Detroit -- if you're not even Christian -- you still want to observe this tradition. (Chicago Sun-Times)
