The topic isn't precisely what the article focuses on, the women who are refusing to procreate as long as climate change is not fixed. It's more general, coming down to the question of whether you feel that you don't want to bring up children with society in its present state. It could be climate change, it could be increased incivility, it could be political, it could be economic, the feeling like the world will be inhospitable for our children and grandchildren. There are even some people (the "antinatalist movement") who say it's morally wrong to have children. That might be extreme, but are you optimistic about your (real or projected) kids' future?
