We're Already On The Way To The Hospital, It's Only A Few More Stitches....

Paramedics do amazing and important work, of course, but occasionally, one of them deviates from the accepted procedures, which brings us to this Florida EMT who allegedly got so frustrated by the resistance of one head trauma victim that he punched the man, hard, five or six times, knocking the man out and reopening a head wound. That's... not how you're supposed to deal with a head trauma victim (people with head injuries are often uncooperative, but that's because THEY HAVE HEAD INJURIES). The EMT was fired and charged with aggravated battery. You want to give EMTs some slack because it's a tough job and they have to keep patients from being disruptive of their own treatment, but you can't condone punching the patient's lights out.
