Probably Not A Problem In Miami Or St. Pete

Baseball's Opening Day was celebrated by keeping fans from getting into the park. No, really. The league has gone to paperless tickets, and the app crashed, leading to massive queues and people not getting in to see the game on time despite arriving an hour early. You'd think they'd have tested this out somehow. Turns out that trying to funnel 50,000 people into a venue using the same app all at once doesn't quite work, but they should have known that. (I was wondering why there were a lot of empty seats in Philly and Washington when they had announced sellouts; apparently, a large percentage of fans were stuck outside the gates.) (Deadspin)
