I don't know what the big deal is with this story, but it's really a 2019 thing: When the Yankees called up Tyler Wade from Scranton/Wilkes-Barre to replace the injured Miguel Andujar, Wade had to get to New York fast. So he took a two-hour Uber. Why is that a surprise? How else would YOU do it? It's not like there's a train option, and a minor leaguer isn't going to be able to afford to charter a plane. Ever have to get someplace fast and take extreme measures to do so? (USA Today)
