Like Putting Joba Chamberlain In The Hall Of Fame Right Now

Wait. So, Obama won the Nobel Peace Prize without actually having done anything in the less-than-a-year he's been in power? Why? Shouldn't they wait until he does something? He hasn't even yet gotten Gitmo shut down, hasn't withdrawn troops from Afghanistan, hasn't succeeded in getting Iran to back down from its nuclear program... and he wasn't even considered remotely in the running for this prize. The committee says it "wanted to make an impact on global politics" and encourage him; is that what the Nobel Peace Prize is for? Silly me, I thought it was for actually doing things to move us closer to world peace. Jimmy Carter, for all his faults, got Israel and Egypt to stop fighting and they waited 20 years to give him the prize.
