Too Exclusive For You. Or Anybody

Celebrity chef David Chang's latest Momofuku outpost, Kawi in Manhattan's new Hudson Yards development, has been turning walk-up customers away even though the place is empty at the time, with the excuse that they're full up with reservations. This is after lunch time, and they obviously don't have reservations on the books. They're clearly trying to amp up the exclusivity thing, even though it's in a mall and people can see exactly what they're doing. Does that kind of exclusivity make you want to get in there even more, or does it turn you off? (New York Post)
