Probably To Be Followed By The Surcharge For NOT Using A Credit Card
-
New York City businesses now have the right to hit patrons with a surcharge for using credit cards, adding 2 to 4 percent to the price if you use a card. Generally, if you use a card, the merchant swallows the bank fee, but now, they're directly passing it on to you. You could look at it as a discount if you use cash, but nobody uses cash anymore, so it's really a way to make you pay more to increase profits at the business. (New York Post)
