And I Don't Need A Mint That's Been Sitting In A Bathroom All Day, Either
-
Sometimes, the New York Times has articles about things that are, I think, really upper-class Manhattan things, like this one about the disappearing job of bathroom attendant. When was the last time you encountered a bathroom attendant? Apparently, they still have 'em in New York, and they're going away, due to things like increased squeamishness about having someone in the bathroom with you and the advent of the unisex public bathroom. Personally, when there's an attendant in a bathroom I'm using, I don't like the idea that I have to tip someone for handing me a paper towel when I could do it myself. A fancy pay toilet is just an annoyance. (New York Times)
