There Are Only So Many Spaces In The Walmart Parking Lot, After All

We've asked the question over and over: If service workers can't afford to live within a reasonable commute of an area because housing is too expensive, where is the necessary work force supposed to live? In Silicon Valley, that includes white collar tech workers, who have been priced out of the region. So, what's happening is that people are living in RVs parked on public streets. Some towns are cracking down, but, again, what's the alternative? What can people do if a six figure salary won't be enough for an apartment? (Los Angeles Times)
