It's now really, officially, totally over, sorta kinda: The last Alaska Airlines plane with Virgin America colors has been repainted. Okay, some of the planes still have the purple and red interiors and mood lighting, but that's on the way out, too, and when THAT changes, it's REALLY all over. And while this article downplays that some seats will have a smaller pitch in some classes -- unfortunately, in Main Cabin Select, which is what I tend to fly -- it really is a downgrade overall, including the ultimate elimination of seat back video and mood music and lighting when you board. Kinda wish JetBlue won the bidding. (SFGate.com)
