At $899, You Don't Drink It, You Hang It On The Wall

What's more insufferable than a wine snob? Beer snobs are making a run at that title, and the result is a brewery -- really, some guys using another distillery to make their beer -- that is making tiny-batch wacky-flavor brews that have people queuing up at their door to get their limited-edition brews, costing a lot. Like, one costing $899 a bottle on the secondary market. These are beers that taste like banana bread, crème brûlée, coconut... the snobs are claiming that these are the best beers they've ever tasted. Okay, I'd love to taste them, but no beer's worth $899. Or $89. Or $9, come to think of it. (Los Angeles Times)
