If Your Flight's Late, They're All Bad
-
I thought we just had a ranking of the world's best and worst airports, but Fodor's is getting into the act, so here's the best and worst airports in the U.S., with both best and worst right here: Best is Burbank, worst is LAX. The full list is here, showing Austin second in the U.S. and Singapore's ridiculously luxurious airport tops in the world. A few observations from a frequent traveler: I won't argue with LAX as worst. It's one of my two home airports and it's dire. As for best, my other home airport, Long Beach, should rank up there with Burbank, the only drawback being expensive parking with no real off-site bargain options (but it's a short walk from the garage to the gates). Also, as bad as LAX can be, if they're ranking it low because it's hard to get in and out of there, then LaGuardia and JFK should be down there with it. And Newark... oh, Newark...
