No Milk, No Problems

The controversy, such as it was, over Alex Morgan's goal celebration at the Women's World Cup, the one where she mimed drinking tea, passed pretty quickly, except for one thing that is peculiarly British: In the U.K. papers, a debate raged in the Letters to the Editor sections (yes, they still exist) over whether Alex pours her tea first or her milk first. This presupposes that milk belongs in tea, and I have been to England and am familiar with milk in tea and I still say no, I'll take mine milk-free. And I don't drink coffee, but if you do, milk or coffee first? Frankly, with coffee, I've never seen anyone go milk-first, but WAIT A MINUTE WE'RE TALKING ABOUT MILK AND TEA AND COFFEE sorry, let's move on. (New York Times)
