Another Shot Fired In The Neverending Fight Against Tan Lines
-
A woman decided to sunbathe on the beach in Duluth (yes, they have beaches). That wouldn't be news except that she did so topless, and thus touched off the usual debate over whether women should be able to go shirtless like men do. The cops told her to cover up, which she eventually did, but didn't arrest her, because they weren't sure WHAT to do. The law is vague, mostly because the lawmakers seem not to want to say anything remotely uncomfortable. So, should men and women and nonbinary folks be treated equally when clothing is concerned? And if not, why? Be specific in your answers, class. (Duluth News Tribune)
