I'll Be At The Hotel Bar

Vidcon is the huge annual convention of YouTube and Instagram and Facebook video producers and stars, and it's a big deal for teens, who flock to Anaheim to get a glimpse of their favorite "influencers." But those teens can't attend alone, so their parents have to bring them. And the parents have no interest but they have to be there, so there's a little "parents' lounge," a cordoned-off area with patio lounge chairs where they can get a massage and buy a drink. But it's like any parent's experience when they take a kid to, say, a concert, and have to either endure the noise or find someplace in the concourse to wait it out, or maybe wait in the car in the parking lot for hours. Have you ever had to do that? (Los Angeles Times)
