When You Can't Make It Down The Shore
-
You are not supposed to swim in Philadelphia's iconic Swann Fountain, the one in Logan Square in the middle of the Benjamin Franklin Parkway. But people do anyway. It's been hot, and people just jump in, even knowing that park officers come by on occasion. It's a health risk -- that water's not chlorinated so you can catch some nasty bugs that will give you diarrhea, and there's no lifeguard. But on a hot day, people don't seem to care. (Fun Fact: We got engaged at that fountain! No, we didn't jump in.) (Philadelphia Inquirer)
