Unless Everyone There Was Under 50, In Which Case They Really May Not Have Recognized Them
-
You surely saw the articles this weekend about how the Rolling Stones dropped by North Jersey's legendary Tick Tock Diner before playing the Meadowlands this weekend. You may have seen that they ordered the New Jersey delicacies of Taylor Ham (pork roll! It's pork roll!) and disco fries. But the topic is about how nobody bothered them and possibly didn't recognize them, the latter of which I find unlikely. There are two kinds of people, ones who can't help themselves but gawk and fawn and go nuts when they see a celebrity in the wild, and those who wouldn't think of bothering a celebrity, ever. That's obviously a thing here in L.A., where tourists come specifically to see celebrities. But everyone's run into a famous person, and how you react when you suddenly see, as I once did, Steven Tyler eating Thai food at the next table or Matthew Perry peering at your table to see what you're eating is something that you can talk about.
