Maybe Hanging Them Off The Bottom Of A High Chassis Isn't The Best Design After All

This is happening again? It's been a while since we've had stories about waves of catalytic converter thefts, but here we are, this story from Philadelphia, where vans parked on the street are vulnerable. You would think that by now, a) car makers would have come up with a way to protect the converters from quick ripoffs, and b) scrap metal buyers would have been prevailed upon by law and police action to not buy obviously stolen converters from guys looking for quick drug cash. But nah. (WTXF-TV/Philadelphia)
