In the wake of all of the stories you've seen lately about how some restaurants, facing a steep price increase for avocados, are serving fake guacamole spiked with squash and other lesser ingredients, this article offers tips on how to tell fake from real (it's basically about the consistency). What I want to know is whether you can taste a difference. If you can't, does it matter if the stuff's made with squash? (Travel and Leisure)
