I guess the lesson you can learn from the legal dispute between two former brothers-in-law over Montreal Canadiens season tickets -- they split the tickets for 19 years, then one's marriage broke up and the other tried to keep both tickets -- is not to split tickets with anyone, because it doesn't take much to cause trouble. Or to make sure all the tickets are in YOUR name, just in case, although the court ruled in favor of the other guy and reinstated his right to his share of the tickets. Joint ownership of anything is trouble for some folks. (I'd make anything jointly owned with your spouse or partner as an exception, but that tends to generate the worst acrimony in the case of a breakup....) (Canadian Press/CTV News)
