Travel Should Be More Than 'Look At Me And Buy Stuff From My Sponsor!'
-
You could go get travel inspiration and advice from actual experts like Rick Steves or Fodor's or Lonely Planet. Or you could do what a lot of people do now: Follow Instagram travel influencers like this bunch profiled in glowing terms in the Washington Post, ignoring that a) they do little but take glorified selfies at pretty locations, b) they have practically nothing to say regarding actual usable advice, and c) many take money from advertisers, including the tourism folks, to post those pictures. Who gets "influenced" by influencers, anyway? (Washington Post)
