What to do with your dead pet? Burial? Cremation? If you want to be environmentally sensitive, try aquamation, a process that uses chemicals to basically liquefy and dissolve most of the body and leave a small pile of bone remnants that you can get in an urn or jar, without the smoke and carbon footprint. In case you're wondering, yes, they can do that for humans, too, in 20 states, so it's an option for you, too. (New York Times)
