Hey, Look, Bonus

A woman was snagged at Newark Airport security for trying to get something past the screeners, but the TSA and everyone else accept her contention that she didn't know that her walking cane had a concealed dagger hidden inside. And she apparently got the cane as a gift from a friend who found it at a thrift store, and neither she nor the friend even imagined that there might be a weapon in there. That seems about right, because I don't think you or me or anyone else would think to unscrew the top of a cane and see if there's anything under the cap. You just wouldn't, so you wouldn't expect anything to be amiss when you went to the airport, either. Moral: Always check. (NJ Advance Media/NJ.com)
