You'll Get Used To It In A Few Years
-
The latest J.D. Power Tech Experience survey asked some questions that I think should be asked before we plunge headlong into the next wave of automotive technology, namely whether drivers actually like and/or want all the alerts and infotainment and other bells and whistles cars are increasingly sporting. The answer for a significant percentage of the audience is that they're actually annoyed by the alerts when you change lanes or someone drives past you, annoyed enough with the "digital dash" that they actually delete apps because it's just as easy or better to use their phones, really just not that into it. You never hear about that at CES. Companies roll out "enhancements" without adequately testing them with real consumers. (Automotive News)
