Don't Drink The Water. Really

The Russian River in Sonoma County, CA has become increasingly popular for people from the Bay Area looking to get out in nature. But there's one problem: The visitors are pooping all over the place. There are toilets, but the visitors choose not to bother to walk all the way back to them, and are just dropping trou and pooping by the river instead. It's become enough of a problem for the county to draw attention to it, and to say that this time, you can't blame homeless folks. People are gross. (Santa Rosa Press Democrat)
