You know about the Texas State Fair, one of the biggest in the country. And you might know Big Tex, the massive statue that greets visitors with an automated wave. This year, a crisis was averted when crews climbed Big Tex and fixed his malfunctioning middle finger. No, it wasn't flipping the bird. Yes, it would have been cool if he did. (Dallas Morning News)
