$15,000 Worth Of Yarn? All Cats Are Suspects
-
You know not to leave stuff in your car, because it can be stolen. Example: A Fresno craftsperson who made the mistake of parking in San Francisco (full stop; parking in SF is bad news in general) and leaving her stuff on the back seat, even though it was covered with a black drop cloth and behind tinted windows. The result: $15,000 worth of yarn stolen along with her laptop. Now, I can't even imagine how much yarn $15,000 worth would be -- it's hard to imagine the entire inventory at, like, Jo-Ann's or Michael's being worth that much, let alone the amount that would cover a car seat. But leaving ANYTHING in a car ANYWHERE is a bad idea. Any stories of getting ripped off by car thieves? (SFGate.com)
