A Canadian study casts a darker image over entrepreneurship, saying that small business owners are stressed out, take fewer vacations, and enjoy less downtime than they did as someone else's employees. It is, indeed, tough when you have to be on duty all the time, and you have to handle the business details you used to let your bosses handle. But it's similar, I imagine, to buying a house as opposed to renting: if the pipes are backed up or the heat goes out, you can't call the landlord or super to take care of it, you have to get the plumber yourself and you have to pay for it.
