They Should Include Service In The Menu Prices, But They Don't, So Leave A Good Tip
-
Financial columnist Michelle Singletary, along with her Washington Post colleague Tim Carman, has a message for those of you who tip less than 20% depending on service: stop it. She says it's not about you, it's about the servers, and their wages, and it's not a way to punish subpar service, it's how they get paid, period. Carman points out that if you have an off day at your job, you don't get docked pay, and neither should they. And Carman's argument that you should tip 20% minimum, period, won Singletary, previously a sliding-scale tipper, over. How about you? (Washington Post)
