Look What She Made Them Do

Staples Center in Los Angeles has plenty of championship banners hanging from the rafters and on the upper level back walls, mostly from the Lakers. One, however, is so offensive that the Clippers and Kings cover it up for their games and it's considered by some fans a jinx preventing all three teams from winning championships: a pretty hideous banner celebrating Taylor Swift's sold out performances. The Clippers always cover it up (along with the Lakers banners), the Kings have started to do so, too, and, you know, this has been annoying since whatever arena decided that hanging banners to commemorate concerts was equivalent to an NBA championship or a Stanley Cup. Looking at you, Billy Joel. (Los Angeles Times)
